Post Election Thoughts
With the Conservatives returning as a minority government, I am wondering how long it will be before Bill C-61 is resurrected. This proposed law is the most worrying thing I have ever seen. You just have to look at what is happening south of the border to understand why. With the economy taking center stage, it may take a while before C-61 reappears, but Harper said that he would reinstate the the Bill, so it is only a matter of time. Fortunately, it is a minority government so it will require cooperation from another party to get the law passed. There is still hope.

Thanksgiving
The Thanksgiving weekend is almost over. On Sunday, the family gathered for dinner at my sister Pat's house. As usual I had a great time. My family never fails to make me laugh. And as usual I ate too much, but I'm almost recovered now.
The group is only 14 people but the noise level is quite astonishing. And it is going to get louder. The family is expanding by one this year. My nephew Douglas and wife Laura are expecting their second child in December, hopefully not on Christmas day. My nephew Richard surprised us all when he announced his engagement to girlfriend Terry so she will become a permanent member of the family. It seems there is much to be thankful for.

New Anime Season
It's the fall anime season and as usual my short list of series that might be interesting is not very short. Hopefully, the list will become more reasonable after I watch the first episode of each series. But, if the first episode grabs me, I will watch the rest of the series which can easily result in watching a lot anime. In the spring 2008 season, I had 15 series on my schedule, which took up way too much time. There's a good chance of that happening again.
Here is the very long short list: Clannad ~After Story~, Kannagi, Tales of the Abyss, Casshern Sins, To Aru Majutsu no Index, Ninja Senshi Tobikage, Ga-Rei Zero, Kuro Shitsuji, Shikabane Hime: Aka, Kemeko DX!, Yozakura Quartet, Vampire Knight Guilty, Uchuu Senshi Baldios, Chaos;Head, Earl and Fairy. I've watch the first episodes of Clannad ~After Story~ and Kannagi, and will definitely be watching both series.
Uchuu Senshi Baldios is a 198o vintage series that is just now being fansubbed.

Spam Blog
After I made my first post, Blogger's spam blog detection system locked my blog. I understand the caution but the system definitely needs more tuning since there was nothing spammy about the post. I requested an unlock twice and there was no notification when it was eventually unlocked, so the blog was locked for almost a week based on one post. It would be useful to know what conditions caused the locked. It certainly was not the content. Was it because I did not create a profile? I guess I'll never know.

A New Beginning
Here I go again! I've started a few blogs in the past but I usually lose interest fairly quickly. I'm not sure what might be different this time. Maybe it is just a strange feeling that I'm at a turning point in my life so I might actually have something to write about. Time will tell.
