Apple Copying Now?

Judging by the comments about how much Apple's iOS 5 copies from others, I assume that this is unusual. If that is the case, then I have to wonder what has changed. My theory is that, because Job's has been on sick leave, he effectively is no longer running Apple. However, I don't follow what Apple does all that closely so I am just blowing smoke. Hopefully, the more knowledgeable Apple pundits will have a better explanation.

Overpriced Toys

While the Parrot AR.Drone iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad Controlled Quadricopter is kind of cool, it is a ridiculously overpriced toy. And yes, it is just a toy. I wonder how much of the pricing is to do with the fact that, initially, only Apple devices are supported as controllers. Perhaps they are counting on the fact that Apple users are comfortable paying more than everyone else for their toys.

Boys/girls. Men/women. Price of toys. You know what I'm talking about. ^_^

Loyal Fans

Apple sure has loyal fans, all lining up to buy the latest gadget. It's kind of creepy to see so many people lined up just to buy a phone. How does Apple do it? Perhaps their devices emit some kind of mind control signal. Once you buy you first Apple gadget, they got you for life. I'm fairly certain the Apple II never had such devices included since Apple gave you the schematics.

Anyway Apple fans enjoy your iPhone 4. At least, until the next iPhone. There's always going to be another one...
